Video Editing Steps


  1. create a new bin inside the footage bin for each new timeline
  2. import the timeline & clips into the new bin
  3. add the input lut to all video clips
    1. select all the video clips (Ctrl+A)
    2. right click > LUT > Leeming LUT Pro > Leeming LUT Pro - Panasonic Cine-D
  4. loudness normalize all audio clips independently
    1. select all the clips (Ctrl+A)
    2. right click > Normalize Audio Levels
  5. display audio channels for all audio clips
    1. select all the video clips (Ctrl+A)
    2. right click > Display Individual Audio Channels
  6. mute the audio linked to the video clips
  7. Set up the audio tracks and main bus using the presets library, add the lufs meter to each, and the limiter to the main bus
  8. edit everything as needed
  9. loudness normalize all audio clips relatively (same track same scene)
    1. select all the clips (Ctrl+A)
    2. right click > Normalize Audio Levels
  10. loudness normalize all audio tracks
    1. bounce the main bus to a new track to affect everything and speed it up
    2. the first time bounce with only de-reverb enabled to set gain
    3. the second time bounce with everything up to noise reduction enabled to set gain
    4. the third time bounce with everything up to mic correction enabled to set gain
    5. the forth time bounce with everything up to machine compression & vocal compression enabled to set gain
  11. loudness normalize the main bus
    1. bounce the main bus to a new track to affect everything and speed it up
    2. if needed set gain on the main bus
  12. add transitions to the video clips as needed
  13. color grade everything as needed
  14. update the title in the intro
  15. set up the master timeline
  16. loudness normalize the master timeline's main bus
    1. bounce the main bus to a new track to affect everything and speed it up
    2. if needed set gain on the main bus
  17. render the master timeline
  18. create thumbnail
